In a quarry situated in Kinleith Forest, which is about an hour’s drive from Cambridge in Waikato, two new Sandvik crushers from Porter Group have begun work for C&R Developments.

C&R Developments is a civil and mining earthmoving company that specialises in working with quarries to remove overburden. It was set up in 1998 by the four Ross brothers: Michael, Tony, Tim, and Simon. The business employs 230 staff, including operators, engineers, surveyors, mechanics, and other technical staff. Based in Cambridge, it has a large and comprehensively equipped workshop for engine maintenance, repair, and refurbishment, as well as paint and panel work.

Mobile Screening and Crushing (MSC) is the sole New Zealand distributor for the Terex EvoQuip range of equipment. It is not every day that you supply equipment destined for Antarctica. That was the challenge in front of MIMICO when our client Isaacs Construction came to us with the work scope. What we knew was that we needed a solution with proven capability to meet, withstand, and operate within the extreme environmental demands of Antarctica.

For the last week Mobile Screening and Crushing (MSC) has been working with a client at its central North Island site, commissioning, and training on a new Terex EvoQuip Colt 1600 Scalping Screen.

“The plant has been configured exactly to the required product and production throughput specs and both MSC and the customer are delighted with the results,” says Dan Meikle, MSC general manager. “We take as much time as is required to make sure the throughput and quality of the finished product is maximised; the machine is set up and tuned to its full potential and the customer is fully appraised of all the features of the plant and is confident with all aspects of operation.”

Two new 6x6 articulated dump trucks have recently joined Atlas Quarries’ machine fleet at its Brynderwyn site. The new Rokbak RA40s are the latest additions to a wider line-up of quarry and construction equipment supplied to Atlas by long-time machine partner, Porter Equipment.

Atlas Concrete, Atlas Quarries, and Atlas Recycling have been running multiple machines supplied by Porter Equipment for many years now.

In the Auckland and Northland regions across sites in Albany, Wairau Road, Helensville (Mt Rex), Brynderwyn, and beyond, Porter-supplied machinery has been a feature of this multifaceted company’s broader fleet for nearly three decades.
